Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor
Sonia Sotomayor was born in Bronx, New York on June 25, 1954. She was the first Hispanic justice to serve on the Supreme Court. Sotomayor graduated from Princeton University and Yale Law School. She worked as a prosecutor and a judge before she was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Obama in 2009.
Associate Justice Clarence Thomas
Clarence Thomas was born in Pin Point, Georgia on June 23, 1948. He is the second African American justice to serve on the Supreme Court. Thomas graduated from Yale Law School. He worked as a lawyer and a judge before he was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Bush in 1991.
Lord Lloyd-Jones
Lord Lloyd-Jones first served as a Justice of the Supreme Court between October 2017 and January 2022. He was the first Justice of the Supreme Court to come from an ethnic minority background.
The Supreme Court consists of a Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices who are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
