France Stun Germany To Reach EURO 2020 Semi-Finals
Les Bleus Win 2-0 To Set Up Clash With Spain
Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann scored as France beat Germany 2-0 to reach the semi-finals of EURO 2020.
Mbappé opened the scoring in the 20th minute, firing home from close range after a cross from Lucas Hernandez. Griezmann doubled the lead in the 72nd minute, heading in a cross from Paul Pogba.
The victory was a deserved one for France, who were the better team throughout. They created more chances in the match and were more clinical in front of goal. Germany, meanwhile, were disappointing and will be disappointed to have been knocked out at this stage of the tournament.
France will now face Spain in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Spain beat Switzerland on penalties in the other quarter-final.
